Offering Fit For a King

The Offering Fit For A King is a yearly, one-time offering that we receive on Easter Sunday morning for a particular project or purpose for ministry. We ask everyone to participate in this one-time giving as an offering above their tithe. We ask you to give your very best gift, thus the reason for the name "Offering Fit For A King."

This year's offering will be designated for our Outreach USA and Global Missions ministries.

Who Is Our King?

His name is Jesus! He alone is our King.

A king is someone who has authority to rule and reign over a group of people.  Jesus is King. He is called the King of the Jews by the Magi (Matt. 2:2), and Jesus accepts that title in Matt. 27:11, "Now Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor questioned Him, saying, 'Are You the King of the Jews?' And Jesus said to him, 'It is as you say.' Matt. 21:5speaks of Jesus and says, "Behold your King is coming to you, gentle, and mounted on a donkey." Remember, Jesus is King in that he rules and judges. "And I saw heaven opened; and behold, a white horse, and He who sat upon it is called Faithful and True; and in righteousness He judges and wages war," (Rev. 19:11). The armies follow him (Rev. 19:14).

The phrase, "Kingdom of God," occurs 66 times in the NASB, most of them in the synoptic gospels. "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel," (Mark 1:14). Jesus taught us to pray, "Thy Kingdom come," (Matt. 6:10). Is there a kingdom of God without a King? No. Jesus is that King. He is not only King of the Jews, He is my King.
